21st Birthday!

So last weekend was probably the best weekend this summer!

Saturday was my 21st birthday and I told Rob he was in charge cause I didn’t want to plan anything. hehe! I woke up that morning with breakfast in bed. He made me french toast and it was amazing. Then I opened my presents. I got some purdy jewelry and a chili’s gift card from my in-laws. Cards from both of his grandparents with some money. I also got money and make up from my parents. Last week, Rob gave me a new phone for my birthday. I really needed a new one, my razor was messed up. So I got an LG Vu phone. It looks just like the iphone just cheaper.(Its the phone on the right)

So then after that we got ready for the day. He told me that we were going to Lagoon! Which was a huge shawk, because all summer I wanted to go and he didn’t. He hates roller coasters. As for me, I love them and can ride them all day long. So we went to farmington and road probably 5 rollercoasters. Which for Rob is a record! I felt so special. Best birthday gift ever! This is the last one we went on. It spins like crazy!

Then after that we went to the mall where my friend Megan works at American Eagle. She showed me all the stuff and I got 20 percent off since it was my birthday. She also bought me some jeans and a shirt cause she gets 40 percent off! Oh how i love the connections I got. So basically I spent the money my parents gave me for my birthday at American Eagle. So after that, Rob and I went to Smiths to get some “brewskies”. We got some rootbeer in the bottles so it looked like I was drinking on my 21st b-day.

Then we went to Red Robin, my favorite restaurant for dinner and after that ColdStone for free icecream on my birthday!We love Birthday cake remix there. It is cake batter, with brownies,sprinkles, and chocalate syrup! It was fantastic! It was a great day and we were both exhausted! Rob did an excellent job and I had so much fun! Thanks to him! Someday I will actually put up some pictures of us. I always blog at the office so I dont have our pics here.

Park City Adventure!

So to celebrate Pioneer day, we had work off on thursday and decided to take friday off so we could have a four day weekend! It was fabolous! Rob’s parents came up to drop off a chest his dad made for us and the rest of our wedding gifts. They decided they wanted to stay in a Condo in Park City. We stayed in this hotel right downtown. It was so nice. It was new and very modern, just my style. It was really nice, kitchen, flat screens everywhere, the showers had two heads on each side, a tub with the water coming out of the cealing and and porch with a spa. It was pretty cool!

So we decided we would go to the Olympic Park and see what that is all about. They have the bobsled ride and the long jumps. We went on a tour and they showed us how all the sports works. Whoever does those sports has to have a lot of guts. It is so scary to be that high and there is a lot of risks involved.

We always eat a ton with his family. We both got so stuffed from food. We had mexican one night, it was okay. Utah never has good mexican places. Any good suggestions? We also had pizza one night which was really good! I bet I have gained like 30 billion pounds ever since the wedding in June. AHH!!!

On Saturday we went to Hoggle Zoo. It was so warm outside. I felt like a little kid but it was really fun seeing all the animals and going to the bird show. We brought our Wii up to the condo and we played bowling all the time. His Dad has a hidden talend for Wii bowling. We could never beat him! It was really fun! My arm hurt the next day from playing Wii so much!

Overall, it was a fun weekend with his parents. Its fun to see all our personalities come out when we play games such as Yahtzi and Life! Offcourse I lost, and Rob won both! hehe! Oh the competitiveness of us!

Oh and our mac is getting fixed because back in January Rob was laying on his bed and it fell off and cracked the screen. We are finally getting it fixed and its been a week with no internet access! Sad day! I feel so out of the internet world as of late. Hehe! At least I can blog at work! YAY!

Proud owners of a Wii

So once we got married, we decided we wanted to buy a Wii with the girt card money we got at target. The only problem is that it is pratically impossible to find one at target or any other stores. We searched for about a month with going to Target almost every other day. So we kind of decided to give up on it and that we would just forget about.

On saturday, we went shopping and Rob wanted to drop in to the FYE store. We were just looking around and he just decided he would ask. I thought offcourse they wouldnt have it. I guess the store just happened to get two in that day and they had one left. I got so excited and we were in shock. So we bought it! Then we went back to target to get all the accessories with it. We bought Wii Play and we are now on the hunt for Mario Kart. I guess this games is really popular. So we went to Hollywood video and rented it. Now we are addicted. I think I am more addicted to it then Rob, but we both love playing it.

The best part of it is that I am better at it then Rob. It makes me laugh cause he gets so frustrated. I told him once we get a shooting game, I would suck at it. Now we are never going to have a life because we will play Wii all day long! Oh well! We like it!

We will just have to have our friends come over and play with us! Wink Wink! Nudge Nudge! hehe!

July 4th Weekend

Well Rob and I decided to go to Vegas for the fourth of july weekend. Its only a six hour drive and he doesn’t mind driving. I just sleep the whole way so its not too bad. Well we left right after I got off work at five and I decided I wanted a milk shake in st george and it just happens that they have a new In n’ Out there. I was so excited cause I love that place. That is the biggest mistake I have made. Later that night at his house we both felt really sick. We think we ended up getting food poisoning. So the whole weekend my stomach was not very happy. His stomach got better the next day for the fourth, but mine fell a lot worse. To this day, my stomach still hasnt recovered. Other than the sickness, it was fun. They had a party in their backyard looking out at the strip. At night you could see everyone lighting up illegal fireworks. It was really pretty.

We also went to the swap meet. its a place where they have random people selling random stuff. We bought this tropical fake tree about my height. It looks pretty real so we decided we needed some green in our apartment. We also went to go see the new Zohan movie with Adam Sandler. I’m not much of a fan of his but Rob and his Dad wanted to go see it. After the movie his mom and I like we should have gone seen a chick flick. The movie was not that good. The guys didnt even like it. It was the typical crude Adam Sandler movie.

The worst thing about the trip was the weather. It is so hot. It was 110 degrees I think everyday. It makes you all sweaty and nasty and tired all the time. I much rather prefer the Utah heat. Its in the low 90s now. Its so much better.

Overall, It was a good and bad weekend. I’m glad to be back in Draper again and relax. I dont think we are going to travel for a while. We have been doing so much we are sick of it. People will just have to visit us. Me on the other hand, I have to take three test this week so that will be no fun.

WOW!! A lot has happened since I last posted…

Well I’m a married women now. I got married on the 7th of June in Portland and it didn’t rain. I was so happy. I was running late to the ceremony because my make up lady was taking her time. I realized when I showed up that the temple coordinater said we brought the wrong marriage license. My world just dropped and I started panicking! It was crazy! I called my Dad who was still on his way to go back home to try to find it. He finally did and 45 minutes later we started the sealing. I was so relieved. For all I knew, it could have been in draper, utah in our apartment and I wouldnt have been able to get married. The reception was so pretty. My mom did the flowers and it was great! We had a sit down dinner and a dance. It was so fun to see all my friends and people I have known forever. All of my immediate family was there so it was great to see them all together. It was the perfect day!

On the tenth, Rob and I flew out of Portland to LAX airport to go on our cruise to Ensenada Mexico. It was so fun! We ate so much! I feel like that is all we did. There are always buffets open 24/7. On our first day we went to Catalina Island, where we went kayaking. Rob andI werent so good a being in unison. So I ended up just not paddaling and he did all the work. It was so pretty. Then the next day we went to Mexico. It was kind of cloudy but we went to all the shops. Its so funny because all the shops have the exact same thing. We went on a tour bus to a place called the blow hole. It basically shoots up ocean water high up in the air. I will have to posts pics soon! After mexico we had a day at sea to just relax. It was so warm. We saw dolphins swimming along next to our ship! It was cool!!

We flew back to portland on friday night. The next day we rented a car and drove a 12 hour drive to draper! It was so long!! Then the next weekend, the 21st we had a open house in vegas where Rob is from. We had it in his parents backyard. It was so pretty! I even wore my dress in hot hot weather! I thought I was going to die but it was shady in the backyard. The next day we drove back to Draper and were ready to settle down and relax!

Now, we are back to normal life. Rob and I are both working at a place called Nelson Laboratories in Salt Lake. I work part time and doing school at the same time. We are having fun decorating our apartment. We put to shelves up in our family room where we painted the wall a guacomole color. We bought all of our bedding at target so now our room looks nice. The colors are black, red and white! I love it! But thats about it for me!

Who knew there was so much to plan?!?!

Well since I have been in Oregon since friday, my life consist of going on random errands with my mom to get little things I would have never thought about. From trying to find the right color napkins that took four stores to find, to getting confetti poppers for when Rob and I leave the reception. These things are all little but make up a big party. Today, we are getting ready for all the relatives coming into town by cleaning the house and making sure we have mostly everything done for the wedding. I would think by now that I would be way stressed out but Im really relaxed and just ready to stop planning and get married.

4 days left!!! Also the big update on the weather. I’m getting married on rose festival parade day, which all oregonians know is destine that it is going to rain. Part of my reason for getting married in June instead of May was because I thought I would have better chances of sunny weather. Well it looks like its going to rain. Oh well what can you do! All I care about now is that when I want to take pictues that it wont be pouring rain, that it will just be cloud. I guess we will have to wait and see! I can’t wait to see everyone from my friends to my family. Its going to be a blast!

Getting Married in One Week!!!

So I decided to write a blog because my sister Courtney got me addicted. Her page is so cute and I love getting updates on her life through her blog. So here it goes! Well the biggest thing going on in my life is that I’m getting married in one week on June 7th in the Portland Oregon Temple. I can’t wait!! I’m home in oregon right now helping my mom get the last minute details done! My husband to be is Robert Anthony Thistle. He is the oldest of three and just graduated from BYU in Biology. He works right now at a place called Nelson Labs in Taylorsville. He is a lab analyst and makes sure things are sterile. Eventually, he wants to either go back to school or go into the FBI to do forensics. Like the CSI people. I found myself a part time job as a receptionist at the same place.

We are going to be living in Draper. I love this place a lot more than provo. Its new and not ghetto. We have a one bedroom apartment right across the highway from IKEA. That is the best feature because I love Ikea. Draper has so many places to eat and shop. There are so many options. We are going to be Utah for at least a year until I finish school and who knows where we will go from there.

After our wedding, we are going on a cruise to Mexico!! Its a four night cruise out of Los Angelos. We go to Catalina Island for a day and then go to Ensenada and then have a day at sea! I cant wait! I just hope we dont look red for our open house in Vegas on the 21st.
